A walking pilgrimage along the Camino de Santigo
Vigo to Santiago de Compostela, Spain

The pilgrimage begins on Tuesday, September 29th, at 6:30 pm, in Vigo and ends in Santiago de Compostela on Friday, October 9th, after breakfast. After registration, you will receive additional information to help you make your travel plans to Vigo, Spain. 

The Camino is an ancient pilgrim route that begins in many places around the world. There is a saying that “all roads lead to Santiago”. Our pilgrimage will take place in Spain and we will walk the last 114 kilometers of the Camino Portuguese route including the spiritual variant. We will begin with a welcome reception and dinner in Vigo and after a night of rest, we will begin walking the next morning. 

Day 1         Welcome Reception & Dinner (gather in Vigo at 6:30 pm) (Tuesday, September 29th)

Day 2         Vigo to Redondela (15.6 km/9.69 miles) (Wednesday, September 30th)

Day 3         Redondela to Pontevedra (20.8 km/12.92 miles) (Thursday, October 1st)

Day 4         Pontevedra to Combarro (11.5 km/7.15 miles) (Friday, October 2nd)

Day 5         Combarro to Armenteira (9.1 km/5.65 miles) (Saturday, October 3rd)

Day 6         Armenteira to Os Castaños (11 km/6.84 miles) (Sunday, October 4th)

Day 7         Os Castaños to Villanova de Arousa (17.4 km/10.81 miles) (Monday, October 5th)

Day 8         Vilanova de Arousa to Padron (by boat; walk 3.3 km/2.05 miles) (Tuesday, October 6th)

Day 9         Padron to Milladoiro (17.6 km/10.94 miles) (Wednesday, October 7th)

Day 10       Milladoiro to Santiago de Compostela (7.7 km/4.79 miles) (Thursday, October 8th)

Day 11        Breakfast, Benediction & Farewell (Friday, October 9th)

 

Price    $1,550 registration + $350 non-refundable deposit= $1,900 total for the pilgrimage

 

The price covers reception, 10 overnight stays with 10 breakfasts and nine dinners, daily baggage transfers on walking days, pilgrim credential and shell. This also includes up to four online gatherings prior to the Camino to help with preparation. (depending on when pilgrims register)

 

Not included: individual travel to Vigo and from Santiago de Compostela, daily lunches, dinner on the last night in Santiago or any taxis or bus fares.

 

 

 

 

 

Jeana Martin is a spiritual director, musician and retreat leader who loves singing and playing the guitar. She enjoys journeying with others and hearing their stories. Jeana has walked the French Way of the Camino as well as making pilgrimages to Chartres and Vézelay, France; Montserrat, Spain, and Assisi, Italy. She is currently writing a book about her pilgrimage experiences in France.

After confirmation of registration and payment of deposit, you will receive a letter with information about travel to Vigo and from Santiago de Compostela and more details about the trip. This will include a suggested packing list.

 

In the case of cancellation of the pilgrimage, you will receive a refund of the full amount, including the non-refundable deposit. 

In the case of cancellation of the participant before May 1, 2026, the non-refundable deposit will be withheld.

 

The balance is due by May 15, 2026. As of June 1, 2026, if the participant cancels, the non-refundable deposit and an additional 25% of the registration will be withheld, unless you find someone else who can take your place. 

As of July 15, 2026, if the participant cancels, the non-refundable deposit and an additional 50% of the registration will be withheld. All cancellations after July 15, 2026 will be fully non refundable.
